Job Description:
The Software Engineer 4 would be working daily with members from multiple software engineering team members to develop, maintain, test, integrate software in development, integration, and target environments.
Essential Functions:
Software design, implementation, integration Investigate and resolve defects Evaluate change requests from stakeholders Research new software concepts Perform other duties as assigned Required
Qualifications:
Secret Clearance Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience OR Graduate Degree with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience A combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of a Bachelor's Degree Preferred Additional Skills:
B.S. Degree in Computer Science Software development experience with an object oriented programming language (C#, Java) Professional experience with a software development process (Agile, Waterfall) Contribute in all phases of the development lifecycle Ability to write well designed, testable, efficient code Ability to ensure designs are in compliance with specifications Ability to prepare and produce releases of software components Ability to support continuous improvement by investigating alternatives and technologies and presenting these for architectural review Ability to learn new things quickly and rapidly prototype Linux System Experience Shell Scripting Experience Centos/Redhat Image Customization, Kickstart Scripting Programming Experience Multi-threaded Java, C#, C/C+
Object Oriented analysis and design using common design patterns Experience with user interface design, database structures and statistical analyses Network socket programming Experience in developing web applications using at least one popular web framework Project, Build, Package Management Experience Git, SVN Artifact Repositories:
Maven, NPM, Docker Registry Soft Skills and Attitude Ability to work with flexible goals or shifting scope Ablility to be self-directed and work in team environments This position requires an ACTIVE Secret Clearance with the ability to maintain it, which requires U.S. Citizenship.
