Job Description:
Will be involved in activities directly related to the design and development of complex, specialized hardware/software systems to process and manipulate ISR data from multiple data sources.
Essential Functions:
Works closely with the customer to comprehensively design and implement new system functionality. Writes requirements, supports development, performs integration testing of new or modified products in a Systems Integration Laboratory and on airborne and ground-based platforms. Verifies and validates new baseline functionality while ensuring legacy functionality continues to work as intended. Will interface with other Systems Engineers, Agile Development Engineering, Flight Line Test, Product Development and Project Engineering to understand new baseline functionality. Follows existing standards to document system testing status and anomalies with system hardware and software and verifies subsequent anomaly fixes. Interfaces with the customer to ensure their satisfaction with system performance. Will work with management to develop and adhere to schedules and budgets required to accomplish assigned work. Will provide regular status updates for ongoing work efforts to management and the customer. Job Requirements:
Bachelor's degree with a minimum of twelve (12) years of relevant experience. A combination of education and experience may also be considered. Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance which requires U.S. citizenship. Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in the development of advanced ISR solutions. Experience architecting airborne/ground ISR mission system configurations to meet customer needs Experience with the entire Program/Engineering Life Cycle Phases and Activities Must have a strong set of core competencies including Problem Solving, Team Leadership, Strategic Thinking / Planning, Communication, IPT / Cross Functional Behavior, Accountability, Critical Thinking, and the highest level of Ethical Conduct. Preferred Skills (beyond required):
Experience with the one or more of the following areas is required:
Systems Engineering; Hardware Development; Software Development; Aero Design - (Electrical; Mechanical; Structural); Leadership - Task or IPT Leader and/or Functional Management Aircraft-platform-based sensor-system development program experience for all program phases, ISR sensor and aircraft communications experience (EO/IR SYSTEMS, ELINT, COMINT, SIGINT, COMMUNICATIONS, DATA LINKS, RADAR SYSTEMS, SELF PROTECT SYSTEMS) Experience with model bases systems engineering (MBSE) Leadership - Task or IPT Leader and/or Functional Management Customer/End-User and mission familiarity IRAD and Technical Baseline development/management Aircraft Modification and Modernization Proposal Development.
Salary Range:
$200K -- $250K
Minimum Qualification
Systems Architecture & Engineering, Life SciencesEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
